Description
Overview:
Tucked into the sandy gravels of Lamarque in the Haut-Médoc, Château Serin is a small, family-scale estate working just two hectares of vineyard with the kind of care that only a tiny property allows. The 2021 vintage is a classic Médoc blend — Merlot-led, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot rounding out the structure — drawn from 25-year-old vines and aged eighteen months in 100% French oak. With only about 12,000 bottles produced and the estate now converting to organic farming, this is a true artisan wine made for those who appreciate the craftsmanship behind every glass.
Bob’s Review:
Wow! This is a big, beautifully structured wine with firm tannins that tell me it will age gracefully for years to come. There’s a touch of oak, but it’s woven right in. Deep dark fruit leads the way — cassis and fig — with real density on the palate. A wine built to reward a little patience.
